How did you start to become into fashion?

I've been browsing this sub for a while and I was wondering how all of you guys and gals got into streetwear and what you first bought. I'm sixteen and trying to break away from my usual jeans and American Eagle shirt style and I'grand hoping your experience helps me.

i wouldn't consider myself quiet or reserved but i tin be awkward and ofttimes dont know how to express myself and fashion just makes that easier without the demand to actually say or practise anything

I wanted to wait nicer and I started to collect shoes and moved from merely shoes to whole fits

Inspired initially by one of my close friends who dressed differently from everybody else, and I admired that and idea he looked good. My mum and girlfriend wanted me to exist a vineyard vines boy, but once I got to higher my girlfriend dumped my sorry ass and my mom was back home so I started stunting on these fools.

Nobody I know is into streetwear, but fuck I'm seeing so much vineyard vines and I want to outset dressing better and flexin' on everyone and possibly standout a fleck

I've always tried to stand out with being more than stylish than the people around me. Matched the colors of my shoes and shirts at a immature age. Then I started at MFA when I was like xv/16. Listened to a lot of indie music, which influenced me into wearing more "hipster-ish" clothes. Eventually started listening to more than hip-hop/rap, which got me into streetwear. Now i'm evolving more into male person fashion, less hypebeast/flashy outfits.

I accept a low self esteem so I tend to apparel up in guild to boost my confidence.

If yous wanna first and get into way you need to either beginning working ( if y'all don't have any income to buy your own stuff) or thrifting which is a cheap way to innovate yourself into dressing other brands and detect your own style while you're at it

Tyler the Creator wearing Supreme so I started buying it off Hypebeast forums (RIP) from there I just started becoming more concious of what I habiliment. Now i similar Rick Owens and Cav Empt the most probably and cry over the fact Undercover is and then fucking small.

I think i started for all the incorrect reasons, looking for recognition from my friends, trying to fit in, etc. but at present i see way as a form of expression rather than a mode for me to fit in. It takes time to develop your style and mode that yous're comfortable with so just enjoy the ride :)
